MSU Research Foundation Welcomes Five Startups to Incubator Facilities
The Michigan State University Research Foundation welcomed five startup businesses to incubator facilities in Grand Rapids and East Lansing, specializing in sustainable energy, autonomous transit, medical technology, workplace education, and mortgage lending.
EAST LANSING, MI — The Michigan State University Research Foundation welcomed five startup businesses to incubator facilities in East Lansing and Grand Rapids during the third quarter (January through March) of the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
Joining the Technology Innovation Center (TIC) in East Lansing are:
ADASTEC Corp, a software development company that enables public transit buses to operate autonomously on public roads.
Approva, developers of a web-based platform that connects mortgage brokers and lenders, offering automation, seamless communication, and access to critical data sources.
ISaab Innovations (formerly MultiFlow LLC), a medical technology startup focused on surgical technology development, holding patents in medical syringes, implantable devices, and first aid suturing.
Targets' Tip, providing educational programs and materials designed to help the scientific workforce identify various forms of bullying and harassment.

Joining the startup community at The Bridge in Grand Rapids is:
EBC Energy, helping businesses transition to cleaner and more sustainable energy practices by turning bio-waste into profitable energy solutions.

The TIC and The Bridge are both multi-tenant facilities designed to support emerging companies and researcher groups. The TIC provides a 7,000 square foot collaborative workspace, programmatic support, and other essential resources for tech startups in East Lansing. With 19 offices and two conference rooms, it is a vibrant hub, encouraging forward-thinking entrepreneurs to exchange ideas and foster exceptional company growth. The TIC is operated in partnership with the Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) and the Lansing Regional SmartZone. The Bridge is located on the fourth floor of the Doug Meijer Medical Innovation Building within the MSU Grand Rapids Innovation Park. It nurtures high-tech startups and researcher groups, offering office spaces, collaborative environments, flex desks, workstations, conference facilities, and networking opportunities.
